The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada is a national health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, providing support services to patients and their families, and advocating for improved treatment access. The First Connection Peer Program pairs individuals with blood cancer with volunteers who have either experienced blood cancer themselves or have a loved one who has.
I led the design of the dashboard and scheduling flow, along with other key screens like FAQs and profile pages.

The current matching process is manual (marked in red), meaning that admin had to spend a lot of time doing tasks that could be easily automated. This was a concern that the LLSC staff has addressed.
There is currently no automated system to match participants and volunteers based off of certain criteria like blood cancer type, age, and gender. Because of this, admin has to manually match 400+ individuals, while communicating back-and-forth to schedule calls between these individuals.
That's where we come in! Our solution provides automated matching, scheduling and streamline admin approval and communication.
